At Elysium Healthcare we have an active Sponsorship programme for healthcare professionals. This includes Nurses, Healthcare Workers, Psychologists, AHPs and Psychiatrists, however it isn’t one-size-fits-all. That means that when and where sponsorship is offered by us varies depending on our needs at that time, and only a limited number of sponsorships are available each year.
Job seekers who are overseas looking to relocate to the UK, and people who are already in the UK looking to move their existing sponsorship to Elysium may be considered, however, individual circumstances, qualifications, experience and current visa status contribute towards your suitability against our criteria at the time of application.
Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker/Care Worker Sponsorship
For Healthcare Assistants/Support Workers (HCA/SW) we only consider individuals already in the UK. We do not offer sponsorship for HCAs/SWs who are currently overseas.
HCA/SW sponsorship is only available for certain Elysium sites (locations), which change depending on our outstanding vacancies at our sites and recruitment needs at the time.
Should you apply for a role which does not have sponsorship being offered, your application will be rejected and not progressed. If, however, you apply for a role which is currently considering applicants that may require sponsorship then you will be asked to complete a secondary form to provide specific information about your current visas status. Should your status match our criteria, then our International Recruitment Team will make contact to progress your application.
Qualified professions – Nurses, AHPs, Psychologist and Psychiatrists
For qualified professionals we actively recruit for people already in the UK who are looking to switch their sponsor to Elysium. We may also consider individuals currently overseas looking to relocate to the UK to take up a qualified role where there may be a need to sponsor.
There are many aspects and processes which you will need to go through in order to be suitable for sponsorship. Namely, obtaining the relevant professional regulatory body registration (NMC of nurses, HCPC for AHPs, GMC for doctors etc).
To obtain registration will require multiple criteria to be met, which will include passing English language proficiency, amongst other things. It is best that you read up and familiarise yourself with what the requirements are on the relevant body’s website. Any offer of sponsorship will not be considered until you have registered with the relevant professional regulatory body.
Once you have familiarised yourself with their required criteria for registration and match the criteria, only then should you consider applying for one of our positions. If you do not match the recruited criteria and therefore will be unable to obtain registration, then your application with us will be rejected.
Recent changes impacting Visa sponsorship
There has been a significant change from the UK Government recently which impacts the Visa Sponsorship programme.
Skilled Worker Visa:
It is important to note that for certain roles, such as care worker and senior care workers, dependants are not permitted for holders of these roles, unless they were in the Sponsored Worker route before any changes to the immigration rules were made, the first of which was on 11th of March 2024.
